Spring Cleaning

Yes its about that time of year where, well you clean, alot infact. Schools ending, you're going to need to actually find outfits for sumemr again, maybe go shopping for new summer clothes and why not a better time to sit down and reorganize everything while you are at!

Atleat, thats what I did... Now I'm not the most clean dude, when it comes in organizing, in the world, but I'm not the dirties by far. So, even though I usually depise it, I went shopping, IN THE MALL, yeah I did that. It was surprisingly awesome I picked stuff out and I got alot of help there too. I didn't spend too much, even though I thought I did, I got like 8 new outfits and that pretty much sets me straight for summer/ early fall.

Afterwards I went and bought myself clothes hangers for new clothes and outfits so it'd be easier to find and such, then I (we) reorganized my dresser. Then the real cleaning came in, we broke out the dusters, sweepers, brushes, and we got down and dirty cleaning everything. And while we were in the heat of the momment we said what the heck, and reorganized my whole room. I'm very satisfied with the turn out of my spring shopping and cleaning, it will definetly benefit my summer lifestyle alot!

That  being said, get out there and start cleaning! It may sound corny and boring and like "ugh why do I wanna push myself to do chores?" Why not? Have a friend help out its actually pretty fun, and you'll be satisfied and full of achievement afterwards!

I'm not a bum anymore!

Yes thats right, I'm no longer in need of money, for everyday things, from my parents anymore! Want to know why? Well I'll tell you! I landed a Sales Associate job at BESTBUY. And I'm already loving it. The perks and bonuses are awesome, the community is awesome, my bosses are awesome, pretty much this is the place to work, especially in my case. I make pretty good money for my first official job and I'm passionate about what I sell!

My official job title is "Portable Electionics Sales Associate", the portable electronics department consists of tablets, mp3's, games, and any handheld assesories or devices you can think of, and I'll be selling them! So, drop in at the Avon location and say hi, maybe I can sell you something you find interesting.

Even though most people say how much they hate work, hard work is in my blood and I just love to work. Especially though since gaming and portable devices are things I am very passionate about, I'll be selling things I love to people, so it'll make my job that much easier... Even though I will have to undergo extensive salesperson training and go through all of their training for the first few weeks, I am excited to learn about how to close sales and to get paid for all the good, hard work I do, and for treating customers right.

Summer break is right around the corner!

And I am exstatic! This summer is going to be awesome for multiple reasons. I don't know where to start.... First and foremost, this summer will be great becasue I'll have a large chunk of my free time devoted tomy relationship I am currently in, which is my main focus and what I'm mainly looking forward to. Second, I can stay up as late as I want without fear of getting up late or being tired the next morning. Third, I'll be able to chill out with my friends and family wherever I want, and maybe take a few small vacation while I'm at it. But since this happens to be my last year of taking classes on the high school campus, my summer will also be alot of prepartion for my first semester of college. Which is very exciting. I also just landed a sales associate job, so I'll be having fun making money.

If you are in my journalism class, you probably already know who I am dating, since someone happend to blurt that out in class. No big deal at all though, if you know her, and you know me we are awesomely, perfect together. And, this will be our first of many summers together so, I really cannot wait.

Staying up late is like THE thing to do in the summer, guys play video games, or have get togethers, or even stay out late some where around town, girls will have their slumber parties and what not, who knows. But, I know I'll be doing my fair share of this since I don't have to get up as early anymore.

All in all, I can't wait for summer, and I can't wait to go off to college and to prepare for college, because honestly I know I am ready for the expierence, for the higher learning level and I know I am sick of the high school atmosphere. And, I can't wait to actually work for my money, and be able to support myself and be responsible, most may say they are ready, but be scared and may get lost, but I am honestly ready for this big change and move in my life!

Being Asked for Assistance

It is quite compelling when you wake up for school, being more or less refreshed from a good nights sleep; come downstairs eat a decent breakfast, to prepare yourself for yet anyother day at the school you think you hate so much. When your own mother asks you "how do you write a blog?" or "can you help me write a blog?"

Now I know my mom thinks I'm some sort of genius when it comes to writing. And most people will tell you that right now I'm being modest. Anyways, I responded with a simple answer "its easy, write about whatever you want, but don't lose your train of thought and try to stay on topic for the most part." She gave me that weird look when shes surprised as usual and said "thats it?" Yes that is it, if you are following my blog take that very simple and obvious advice and you will do just fine.

Back to my mom, she told me this morning that she recently started blogging for The Avon Lake Patch, an online local news site for Avon Lake, Ohio. It is pretty sophisticated and is very up to date. My mom is taking part of the community gardens in Avon Lake and decided to blog about her ideas and thoughts about them.

If you live in or near Avon Lake, you should check out The Patch here. The editor of The Patch, Lori E. Switaj, runs the site very well and keeps everything up to date and fresh.

Japan 2011: possibly one of the biggest disasters of my lifetime.

It is an unsettling yet truthful reality; to think that the California fault line can have and cause a larger earthquake and tsunami than the 8.9 caused in Japan on March 11th 2011.

Besides this fact, my sincere thoughts and  feelings go out to all the families of Japan, and to the government for having to put up with such a disaster and to face intense adversity.

The death toll has now, as of today, reached 13,843, a kind of rather large number that is scary to think about how one incident can leave many dead. More tolls and updates can be found at CNN.

I saw a commercial for a documentary of the disaster in Japan already coming out on The National Geographic later this month or early May. The film is a bunch of tapes compiled by Japanese people, just before, during and after disaster struck. Check it out at The Nation Geographic.

The damage was and has been devastating and the Japanese government should be in dissarry but have thus kept their "cool", literally, trying to keep the nuclear reactors cool and trying to have the least amount of radioactive exposure as possible. Citizens living near these reactors have been told to evacuate so the death toll does not rise and people are nto exposed.

The clean up has been and will be extremely trying for famliesand the government, but in my opinion Japan will make a swift recovery and get back on its feet in no time, whether or not it take a few years, without further disastrous events the country should be fine. They've recovered quickly in the past and they are an industrious and hard working country, I firmly believe things, although bad now, will turn out for them.

2nd Thoughts

So a few weeeks ago I told everyone reading this blog that I KNEW what I want to do with my life, and I KNEW where I was going to college, and I KNEW what I wanted to major in. Well here are my "2nd thoughts" about my life ordeal and such.

In reality what we think we are going to do becomes what we want to do, but what we need to do is find a passion, or a feeling of beign good at something. And all my life I've been told, be a writer, wrtie stuff, books, news etc. I will agree with what I've been told I'm darn god at writing and I have a way with words. Now mind when you read this I'm not being, or trying to be conceited, but its the matter of the fact, I'm decent at writing, my highest of my SAT scores was writing, OGT scores, yadda yadda.

Anyways, in the past few weeks, or months I'v decided to look into other business ventures and what other options I may have. Not only have I been told I'm good at writing, but I'm good at speaking, or have an authority behind my voice, I can manipulate people into doing things, motivate people, inspire them. Now that being said, I'm good at arguing my point to the bitter end, even if I know I'm wrong I argue until thoroughly disproven. This lead me to the conclusion of "hey why aren't you looking into majoring in law,"? Now this question was also with the help of others opinions of course but, it seemed like a really good idea.

So I pitched a new idea to my parents, I gave them the fulfillment of my research and, or my new "plan" as some may call it. I've decided to venture into PSEO courses at LCCC for my senior year of highschool. I talked it over with my consoler and I will still be eligible for sports and still get the highschool expierence while in college. This will allow me to get my freshman year of college out of the way as I'm graduating. From there I will take one more year at LCCC and get an associates degree and partner with CSU. From their I will get all my prequisites out of the way and partner with a good law school near by. I would like to eventually become an lawyer or attourney of some sort and get into a business that isn't dying out, like journalism (sadly) and actually make some money!

Out with the old in with the new!

High school, a lot can be said about it, a lot can't be said about it. It is something most everyone goes through. I guess its a part of finding oneself or just a part of growing up. I know my experience, thus far, has taught me how to get through my daily life and has taught me and showed me who I am. It differs for everyone I'm sure, but to generalize high school students don't just go through high school to be educated they get through all the drama, friendships, stress, love, and everything else associated with growing up.

So, what happens afterward? Most say college, some say work, whatever works, works. But coming out of high school kids should know or have an idea of what to know what they want to do. I know I want to attend Ohio University, go to script school, major in journalism, get my degree, and write. I want to write about anything and everything, I love it. I'd also want to save my money and travel, see places, get out of the U.S. see the world, because there is a lot out there.
High school makes people who they are, or gives people idea of who they want to be. I know I've found myself, and other people that will stay in my life for a long time, such as my best friend and my girlfriend. High school isn't just a place to learn, it's a place to find, to search, to help. Even though the common stereotype is "ughh High school is so 'gay' I hate it..." deep down kids love it because they know they find themselves or have an idea about themselves or who they are.
Out with the old immature little kid, in with the new mature, found grown up adult.
